Vampire Veggie Encaustic

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

This is the first time ever I tried to create an anime character here: VEGETA from DBZ totally with this wax-art stile by applying the encaustic technique. The hardest part was waxing and scraping the face and features and the hands with the iron and kitchen knife. Constantly the wax was making funny smudges going everywhere and not where I wanted it to go *sigh*

Frankly it was bloody *HELL* to get at least a halfway resemblance and it clearly showed me my very limited skills in working with this medium wax.

BTW That black fat smudge hovering in front of the moon is supposed to be a bat !

I need tons & tons more of experience to get enough control on the iron to produce the much desired anime-fanart with this technique. But... I'm stubborn and determinded to get there some day. Anyway you can see the progress I'm hopefully making someday in my upcomming uploads !
