Using colored wax I've ironed this stromy seascape with a twister, lightning and an smirking Dolphin enjoying the waves

Traditional Encaustic Waxart

That technique is called encaustic (from the greek word for branding).

By applying special colored beewax into the hot sole of the iron and spreading the hot molten wax onto a special sealed/coated paper card I'm able to create different patterns and designs and with the tip or rim of the iron I can even create animals, plants and buildings. But it did take some practice to do that

Used the knife to scrape/shape the lightning and the finer parts of the eyes and outlines of the dolphin.
