Boy Oh Boy must warn you ! Please wear sun glasses when looking at this pic or you'll get sore eyes
I must admit I've rather overdid it with bright flashy colors =.=
But nevertheless I still hope you like my wierd fantasy pic...
Made with Traditional Encaustic Waxart
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The technique is called 'Encaustic' originating from the greek word for 'branding' or 'burning'.
For more information take a look at www.encaustic.com
So the good thing with this technique is, everything has to be drawn/ironed freehand, sponatious and is therefore an ultimate medium to express the subconscious . Just get started and see what's coming out or what can be made of it. The drawback, there's almost no way to undo 'happy accidents' without changing/erasing everything that's been created so far
Original of the whole work is Size A5
Colors: Stockmar wax-blocks
Tools: Small light iron + scraping tool
Time: at least 4 hours
