the little animals I'm ironing are constantly getting smaller
I hope you're still able to see anything in this tiny version. The original has postcardsize and the birdy is even smaller than the fingernail on my pinky
That technique is called encaustic (from the greek word for branding).
By applying special colored beewax into the hot sole of the iron and spreading the hot molten wax onto a special sealed/coated paper card I'm able to create different patterns and designs and with the tip or rim of the iron I can even create animals, plants and buildings. But it did take some practice to do that

Tools: Lithe Iron & Knive as scraping tool for the eyes of the bunny + bird
Color: Bee-wax-blocks from Hobbyline
Paper: Thick high-glossy photo paper
Size: Original is A6 postcardsize small
Time: Took me about 1-2 hours to finish
