Hi Dears !
I'm happy to announce that I'm still alive and kicking

This is all the more astonishing since I've been ailing from heartsickness for some time now and even had a heart failure.

Luckily the doctors at the hospital were able to revive and finally cure me !

Last Month a device has been implanted into my body, which keeps my heart going steadily by setting a normal pace through small electrical impulses.

So now there's nothing to worry about anymore and after a short recovery brake I'll be as good as new and right back to drawing pictures and watching you !

ENCAUSTIC WAX-ART

The colors I use to create pictures like this one are wax-colors [link]

Encaustic is a special wax-art technique. I melt colored waxblocks and apply the molten and hot almost liquid wax onto a special sealed paper card by using a small lithe iron. While ironing, the colors blend and create totally new shades and tones. With the sole, the tip or the rim of the hot iron I’m able to create all kinds of different patterns and designs.

With enough experience one may even iron fine details such as plants, buildings, animals... onto the card. By scraping away hardened access wax later on, outlines can be created and highlights.

By using a hairdryer the wax can partially in specific places of the picture be molten again to achieve an even more fluid watery flow of the colors.

The only drawback but at the same time the best challenge and most fun in working with molten wax is, that everything is being created the very instant straight from the heart and soul.

No sketch, lineart... or any beforehand layout can be made.... and of course there’s no way to undo any mistakes without destroying the whole picture or design entirely.

You could say, that with this technique the deepest emotions and thoughts of the artist at that very moment are being banned onto paper. Almost like a snapshot of the subconscious
